Involving & Empowering
For far too long, the democratic foundations of the European continent were taken for granted. But a glance at the headlines increasingly shows that the values of the European project have to be fought for anew – through vigorous debate, broad participation and social discourse. That’s why we choose to implement diverse projects introducing young people to current societal issues.

NEXT GENERATION
Youth festival for the next generation
Music education and cultural participation enable citizens to shape their future. With Next Generation, young people are given a prominent platform. In 2019, Young Euro Classic implemented a specific junior festival for the first time, parallel to the classical stage programme. Consistently enthusiastic feedback motivated the subsequent editions of the youth programme. MINZ has developed innovative formats that build on the strengths of young people and focus on topics that move and engage them. Whether in music, dance, theater or literature, this programme recognizes and celebrates talent and provides a creative space for inspiration and collaboration. Here comes the next generation!

Young Euro Connect
Nourishing the European Idea through language and literature
Europe is more than a concept. The mission of the Young Euro Connect e.V. association is to explore this notion through literary encounters that explore issues such as freedom, human rights, and democracy. This innovative conceptual framework emphasizes discourse and cooperation.
- 2005 – 2008 – Young writers from countries such as Estonia, Turkey, Great Britain and Bosnia and Herzegovina shared their visions for Europe 2025.
- 2006-2008 – Over the course of 3 years, 36 up-and-coming authors probed the meaning of the Enlightenment ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity in the context of modern Europe.
- 2009 – 9 emerging journalists researched how European Union legislation plays out in the everyday lives of their countries. They toured Germany, Paris and Warsaw to share their discoveries.
- 2019 – Retrospective of Visions of Europe 2025 with Michal Hvorecky, Saša Stanišić, Tanja Maljartschuk and Jonas T. Bengtsson under the motto Europe between Dreams and Trauma.
